Helen Rainey, Executive Secretary

Minister Helen Rainey was born in Ocilla, Georgia, the 2nd oldest of 10 children. After completing high school, she traveled to Miami to attend Miami Dade College to become an economics teacher, but fate had another vocation in mind. She began her college academic training as a Behavioral Studies major. Helen started her medical career of 44 years as a Medical Missionary with Northside Baptist Church, Doctors Without Border, Kaiser Permanente, and a few other organizations throughout the Miami and Atlanta Area. Her medical career includes working as a Licensed Vocational Nurse early in her career and as a Certified Electrocardiogram Technologist.

Some of her medical mission trips included Peru, Lagos, Africa, Appalachian Mountains, Mississippi, Kansas, Norway, Kyrgyzstan Russia, The Bahamas, Ghana, and Lima, Peru. Each experience was exhilarating and spanned anywhere from two to six months. During those trips, she would build schools, dig wells, set up medical clinics, and offer evangelic services. Minister Rainey is the owner of 3DivineIntervention Consultant and Environmental Services.

She completed her academic career in her late forties after being a wife and mother to three sons. At the age of 45, she became a widow. Today she is a proud grandmother and great grandmother. Minister Rainey received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Almeda University in 2005 while attending the Atlanta Love Center Ministry for 20 years. While there, she began an M.I.T. process under Dr. Bernice King and Pastor Byron Broussard. The process itself was five years.

There I became a licensed and Ordained Minister and later became an Elder. There was an extension program as well through Beulah Heights University held at the church.

She returned to Beulah Height University in 2011 and graduated in May 2013, and continued to pursue her Masters of Divinity degree. Minister Rainey is currently pursuing her doctorate in Sacred Religious Studies. As I studied and learned throughout my formative years, I am now really getting the opportunity to utilize it effectively. Her current home church is part of the WMBA, connected to the Georgia Missionary Baptist Association in Atlanta. Minister Rainey serves as the President of the Ocilla District Home Mission Department, with ten churches in the district.
