Minister Stephanie L Fortson grew up in a Christian home and accepted Jesus Christ as her Savior at an early age. She was baptized and received the Holy Spirit at the New Hope Missionary Church in Michigan City, Indiana, where she was born and raised. Since childhood, she has always had compassion for the needs of others. She immediately became a servant to all. As her Christian journey continued, serving in ministry, she became a member of the Gathering of Champions Church in Marietta, Georgia, under Dr. Brian Keith Hodges' leadership. Under Dr. Hodges' tutelage, Minister Fortson recovered her licensing as a minister of the Gospel and a Bachelor of Arts in Religious Studies from Beulah Heights University.
Additionally, she is pursuing a master's degree offered at Beulah Heights as well. During her time at Gathering of Champions, Minister Fortson has had the opportunity to fulfill her passion – serving others. She currently serves on the Intercessory Prayer Team, Usher Board, Pastor's Aide Committee, and other ministries within the church as needed.
Minister Fortson has a successful career and currently serves as an accountant with Allison Smith. She plays a pivotal role in ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery of million-dollar contracting and engineering projects. In 2007, Minister Fortson became the founder and owner of 1040 Tax Team Company. She has provided this service to the community, assisting many who are need tax filing services. She also serves on many community-related programs and foundations.
Furthermore, she enjoys helping the senior members of her church and community. Minister Fortson has never lost her desire to serve. She stands firmly on the Word of God and the leading of the Holy Spirit in her life. Given her humble spirit, she is deeply committed to the work of the Lord. She is a Woman of God who walks by faith and values integrity. Her belief and desires are that God will get the Glory out of her life. Her Christian walk is significant as she witnesses and ministers to others. Her favorite scripture is Philippians 4:13; I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. Minister Fortson lives in Georgia and is happily married to Michel Fortson. She is the mother of five children: Michael, William, Monique, Tiffanie, and Angelia. She has seven granddaughters and one grandson.
